Condolences to the Turner family, one and all, to the fans and to all guitarist out there. The level of contribution of Ike to the music world has not been given the proper appreciation that it deserves. Unfortunately, it sometimes takes the passing of someone for us to see the actual value they have. I'm sure that Ike's passing should give us all reflection on the value of how we use our own time and how honest we are in our efforts whatever they may be. As a guitarist I can recall where I first heard a sweet vibrato technique in St. Louis. It's something I still use today. To the Turner children, keep your heads up and look forward to the day when you will be reunited with you father. I'm sure it will be a sweet occasion. God Bless

We little knew that morning that

God was going to call your name.

In life we loved you dearly

In death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you,

you did not go alone;

for part of us went with you,

the day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories,

ive listened to ike and tina ever since i was little and i still do.you are all in my thoughts and prayers.may god bless the ike turner family.

To Audrey and Ike's Family.  Even thought I have known Ike for only 6 years, he truely was a great friend with always a smile on him.  My deepest sympathies to you and yours.  Ike will never be forgotten as he got back his name.  Now he is playing the Blues for the man upstairs.  God Bless.
