Ike, You were always there for Alvin. Alvin is currently not in a position to send an email, so I am doing this on his behalf. You helped give Alvin a great start in his musical career and remained a faithful friend. You have always respected and treated my mother and family with nothing but kindness. On behalf of Alvin Taylor and his family ... may you rest well in the arms of God. God does not discriminate - His arms are open to all who come to Him. May the love of Christ bless your extended family.

          Most people touched by blues,r&b,soul,etc .have been touched by Ike Turner.

         The musicians and performers that played with him,are legendary. It would have served the world a better purpose had the spotlight shone on more of the musical talents he had,and the history he made and shared with others.

          So long Ike. I'm sure Jimi,Elvis,etal have a chair waiting,just for you.

          Thanks for coming by pal. We couldn't have done it without you.

It hardly seems fair now, but now it's Gods turn to sit front row to Ike's concerts for a while. Condolences to the Turner family and keep Iken on!

I want to thank Ike Turner for being a music genius. It was his drive and leadership that gave the world Tina Turner, I love her and him. I have every Ike & Tina ninyl albums I could find, and just admire Ike. He was a amazing, amazing musician. Ike will always be a part of our music history.

I've always believed that Ike Turner's contribution, particularly in the early days to rock 'n roll, was always greatly underated. We always hear about the more well known stars of the era but little was mentioned about Ike. As always, after the death of a great, I expect we'll now start to hear his music played as it should have been.

Ike, I will miss your smiling reaction every time I sang a line from one of your songs to you or said "Hi, Ike" to you around town or at Carlsbad Beach. I never bothered you for a picture or autograph since I always thought there would be another time. Thank you for the memories. Sophia of San Marcos (originally Hollywood) & family.

I know that TINA TURNER is hurting. Everyone is hurting over the loss of the GREAT GREAT IKE TURNER. You hear IKE and TINA almost every day. I pray that TINA will be OK i know that she still love IKE, because

I can`t believe IKE is no longer with us. I thought he would live to be 125 yrs. We are having a memorial on 12-18-07 for BEST of the BEST IN the ET business MR. IKE TURNER. LORD HELP ME

James Brown, Luther Vandross, now Ike Turner... Man, my heart is heavy with sorrow over the loss of my favorite childhood musicians.  I just want to take time to thank you for brining a sweet soulful meaning to music.  The music today is empty, and I still listen to the old school jams. 

Ike, you are truely talented and you will be dearly missed.  I am so sad to see that even in the land of milk and honey, some people could never forgive and move on.  That is what weighs so heavily in my heart.  It's the fact that many only heard of the few bad things and refuse to recognize the good.  Well, let he without sin cast the first stone.

Rest in Peace, Ike; and know that the love of your fans will always be with you.

You have done so many great things; Pioneer of Rock 'n' Roll, recognising and supporting some of the greatest names in music for the last 50 years. I didn't realise how great your achievements were until now..

 

Your life story is very interesting and inspiring. You overcame so much adversity and will be remembered for your brilliant music!

 

I was stunned to read that Jimi Hendrix used to play in Ike Turner's Kings of Rhythm, and that Elvis used to hang out at your shows!!

 

I reckon you must be putti'n a new Revue together right now..There must be  a lot of muso's stoked to see you right now!!
