Ike, thanks for the many years of entertainment.  Your music made living in Mississippi in the 60's bearable.

My condolence to the family.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Turner family. We pray that these words from 1 Thessalonians 4 will be of comfort to the family.

13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.
16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

Okay first I would like to say to the family, and Ike Jr. That I am sorry for your loss. I have met him when he wasn't feeling so well. Now, all you people that are putting things up here that are very in appropiate are very down right wrong for that. You all have no respect for this man and his family. He may have down some terrible things in the past, but he is still a human being and have children and family like the rest of us. So layoff

Ike was a great musician regardless of the bad things he did. my condolences to his family.

I would like to thank him for his childen, without him my daughter would not have met her best friend.  He had his problems, but we all live on, he has made his peace, let him be.

Sad news. Ike was a rock and roll originator with a genius for playing the guitar. His music transcended genres. He will be sorely missed

Ike's mean instrumentals and all his beautifully songs and work will be forever in our heads and hearts. Hope he is with good company now.
