I want to express my sincere condolences to the whole Ike Turner family. From the time I went to my 1st "Ike and Tina Turner Review" concert/dance at the Cinnamon Cinder in La Mesa, California, and thru out my adulthood I have always appreiciated the energy and contribution thay Ike Turner has made to the Music World.

Headed To A Better Place |
December 13, 2007 |
He is going to a better place from here. Where there are no worries, no complications, no enemies, no stress. No more crying y'all. He is somewhere being blessed. I know how it is to lose people that is the closest to you. It seems like you can never go on. Some times we can not face the fact that when people leave,Their gone to a better place than where we standing at now. He has done so much for so many. THAT'S WHY HE IS AN ICON!!!!!!

MAY YOU FIND COMFORT IN THE LORD.
YOUR DAD INSPIRED LOTS. I WAS TOO YOUNG TO KNOW ALL THE MUSIC.
BUT WHAT I HAVE HEARD FEELS GOOD TO MY SOUL.
MAY YOU BE PROUD OF YOUR FATHER'S ACCOMPLISHMENT.

Ike, thanx for what you taught us about music and life. Thanx for rising again with the blues. I cried when I heard you were gone, but when I saw that picture of you when you won the grammy with that big big smile on your face I knew that you also won the game. I smiled and felt light inside. And thats how I will remember you, as an inspiration and a light. You were a courageous Black Man. Now you 'ova cross the East Bridge' with Soko, Claude, and Eddie and 'nem. Y'all keep it funky up there. We'll all join you one day. I send much love to Ike Junior and the Family.

Ike's place in the fabric of American music is ever-lasting. He was a great influence on so many musicians. I will be providing an entire two-hour retrospective of Ike's music on an upcoming show. Ike and his wonderful music will not be forgotten.

What a loss. On behalf of all the other Canadians fans of Ike's music, I'd like to express my sincere condolences to the family. Ike's recent musical output has truly been an inspiration demonstrating how one man can overcome adversity to share his great talents with the world. He will be truly missed.

The Guitar Man |
December 13, 2007 |
Ike was maybe on of the coolest,Very Business minded person in the Music world along with Chuck Berry. His timeline has come to a end just like all of us will do someday. I never had the chance to meet him,But he seem like a very, very down to earth guy. Like someone you knew from the hood If you ask him for something (money,a helping hand or even one of his guitar he looks like that type of person who knows about the tough time of life and had been there that would reach out and help you If he sees your heart is fit. He was a very bless man inspite of the things he had to deal with (The break-up with with Ms.Lovely Tina,IRS and more.)He took care of his business alone with the God give talent that he had and made something that alot of us wish he had.Rest on Mr.Ike Your work on this earth is finish,But you music and Spirit will live on FOREVER and EVER,AND EVER,Now you are on the BIG STAGE,walking and talking with JESUS. AMEN & AMEN!
