To the family and close friends of the late Ike Turner. He was truly an IKE-ON a God given talent that will surely be missed. As a fan i never looked at him by the way the movie or the media portrayed him, his heart wrote all that legendary music, after all nobody is perfect, but his music was. I pray that God will give Tina a forgiving spirit so that she may make peace within and say her final good-bye to the man who gave her stardom status. God Bless

Rest in Peace |
December 13, 2007 |
May peace and understanding give you strength and courage, and may the hours and days ahead hold a new hope for you. For the sorrow that is yours today, will pass away and then you'll find the sun of happiness will shine for you again.
While we cannot understand why things happen as they do,The one who hangs the rainbow out has his own plans for you and may it comfort you to know that you are in his care and God is always with you for God is everywhere.

One of the first dances I had with my husband (we've now been married for 2 years) was to "Rocket 88". Music has lost a great icon and a true pioneer.
Sincere condolences from England.

Scripture tells us that "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord". Ike is surely with our Lord today.

This world has truely lost one of the greatest inspirations to music, it doesnt matter what he may or may not have done in his personal life only he and Tina truely know. And we should not dwell on this.
He will be deeply missed by many, however I am so glad to know that he and the inspiration that he carries will live on as long as music continues to be made, the true father of rock and roll, no one can ever take that away. With out him modern music wouldnt be as it is today, vayour con dios Ike.
