My heart is broken, it is heavy and I feel such pain.  But when I read all these condolences from all over the world, it brought tears of joy to my eyes.  This is what it's all about.  Ike gave so much to the world that he deserves the love back.  We don't even have to talk about the negative comments because he was not a negative person.  Besides it's because of people like the ones who write those hurtful things that we still have all kinds of prejudice in nearly 2008!!!  It's comforting to express myself here because I feel I am in "Ike's House."  I worked for Ike & Tina at Bolic Sound in 1972, remained friends with Ike over the years and love and respect both of them.  Ike taught me so much about the music business and life itself.  He was a deep and sensitive person.  He knew who truly had his back.  He could read 'em a mile away!  IKE TURNER IS ROCK AND ROLL!  He snuck Elvis into the juke joints!  He touched thousands of lives with his music.  He has millions of fans all over the world!  He is distinguished!  He is an Icon and a legend!  I am proud, privileged and grateful that I got to know the real Ike Turner and got to be his friend.  His last words to me last Thursday, December 6, 2007 were "Annette, I just want you to know I really appreciate and love you, girl."  And I was able to tell him I love him back.  No one can ever take that away from me.  Rest in peace, Ike.  Jehovah promised a resurrection so we will see you again.  I love you so.  My deepest sympathy and love go out to all of the Turner family members.  And I want to personally thank all the people who wrote these beautiful words on this website.

May IKE Turner rest in peace, and may God watch over and comfort his family. My deepest condolences.

Ike was a great man I really didn't now much about him other than hearing my parents speak about him and I can say that my Dad was a die hard fan of Mr. Ike Turner and he sends his prayers to the family stay strong and know that God puts nothing on us that we can bear.

I´m brazilian blues fan and music enthusiast. I´ve suffered a lot the notice of Ike´s passed away. So, i´m here to desire my best wishes to Ike´s family, and say them the most important is the work, all the work Ike´s gave to all his fans around world. I hv a blog in Portuguese language, where i post frquently texts about blues and blues artists. Today i´ve posted a text where i write something referred to Ike´s music!!!

To the Ike family's how sorry, my heart goes out to you all. Sad to say God giveth and the Lord take it away, another thing their will comes a time that a man will stand be judge for life and after life is judgement, rather you live for mammoth or God, I would rather have Jesus...

Most of humans know only Ike as Tina's husband. But happily, we are millions of fans all around the world who will remember Ike as a real genius.
