I had the pleasure of meeting Ike and working for him for a short time, I man that I got to know and love, was a sweet man. He loved me and my daughter as if we were his daughter and grand-daughter. He will be missed very much, and we will always love. I lived in Oceanside California from 1988 to 1999. I met Ike in 1991, I was singing in a bar in Carlsbad, CA, he was married to Jeannette then. He heard me singing while he was parking his car and coming into the bar. He asked the owner and the DJ who was that singing and they told him it was me. I will never forget what he said to me and I will always remember his smile. I use to love to watch him make music and it was a pleasure to see him work. He was a blessing in my life and I will miss him.
I was a back up singer with Ike & Tina Turner in the early 60's, my sister,
Gloria traveled with the group.
Family, take care and remember his legacy.
I am sorry about to hear the loss of Ike.

Thank you Ike Turner for bringing rock and roll into my life. I recall 1968 you let me sit in with you and the band in a bar in Waco, Texas, the other side of town you always let people share the stage thank you for your kindness. I recall in the late 60's I left the Elvis show in Vegas to see your show it was the best. I must have see it at least 100 times. We'll sure miss you I believe the last show we talked was Doheny Blues Festival. I recall Pinetop Perkins telling me about this suit you'd given him on the road when he was passing though we'll all miss you but we know you'll always be with us in spirit Thank you for your presence and your kindness you'll be missed by all.
I saw Ike in 2002 at Ronnie Scott's in London. He was fabulous. One of the best, if not the best show I have ever seen. Fantastic musician. A really memorable night. Love his music. He will be sadly missed by all those who appreciate his music. Condolences to his family

I had the pleasure of meeting Ike several times in his final trips to Canada. He was truely a great down to earth fellow. The first time we met, our greeting was followed by a great big hug and an autograh signed "STAY STRONG BROTHER". A year later he was back and "is all you do is work" was followed by a hug. He will be missed greatly.... I guess we should follow his words..."STAY STRONG..
