I ran across this site and would like to offer sympathy to family and friends of Ike.  I, personally, have lost loved ones to death and have always found encouragement, hope and comfort from the following verses:  John 5:28, 29--"Do not marvel at this because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out. Those who did good things to a resurrection of life..."  Isaiah 25:8--"And he will actually swallow up death forever."  Isaiah 33:24--"And no resident will say, 'I am sick'.  The people dwelling in the land will be those pardoned for their error."  Please know that God cares for bereaved ones and that they are in his memory awaiting a resurrection back to a restored paradise earth.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.

Everybody talks about Tina's success but forget that, Ike made her what she is now.

Dear Mr. Turner:  In spite of all the negative things that have been written, said, and portrayed about you, you did make a great contribution to the music industry.  I agree with everyone that says you were truly a genius.  "Rocket 88" was made before my time, but it is one of my favorites.  Keep the music going on up there, and God bless the gift that he gave you.

Dear Turner family:  Please accept my condolences on the loss of your loved one.  One thing I hope is that your family does not have to go through the big legal messes that James Brown's family is going through.  He has been dead for over a year, and the mess is still going on.  God bless you  all.
