Everyone has a stage in life and we each play a part. What Ike Turner did was "LIVED" his life the way he wanted it to be. He made decisions and choices whether good or bad they were his choices. But one thing for sure his performance was exciting for the world which allowed us to love him in our own way. Life is what we make of it whether up or down this is how Ike kept his drive going. However he did make a jouney through his life they way he wanted too. To all that knew Ike, he made his entrance and his exit.

"ECCLESIASTES"

CHAPTER 3

VERSUS 1-12

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

A time to born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

A time to weep, and time to laugh; a time to mourn, and time to dance;

A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep and a time to cast away;

A time to rend, and time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he labourth?

I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.

He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice and to do good in his life.

Ike Turner was an icon of the industry. We all should appreciate what he gave all of us, each time we enjoy Tina Turners music, pause and remember the man who created her and  the legacy of Ike And Tina. You cant think of  Tina without  thinking of Ike, who deserves  all the credit  for  making  Tina a superstar.  He may have made some mistakes in this life, but he did redeem himself before the end. We have lost  another true  icon and there will  never be another like like him.

belturner Thanks Ike! December 13, 2007

Thanks for the great music !  As a Tina Turner fan I got introduced to the music of Ike Turner. I am so glad he got his life straightened out and received the recognition he deserved for "here and now" (Grammy nomination) and "Risin' with the blues" (Grammy winner). I saw Ike Turner once in Concert at the R&B festival in Belgium in 1998 and he was truly a gifted artist. His music will live on...

I remember him and Tina in the 70's; that would put me at the age of 8 years of age.  Those were the good old days.

To the Turner Family.  On behalf of my family to yours; I  am sending condolences in memory of Mr. Ike Turner.  Even though he is gone; his music will always be here with us.

Let ye without sin cast the first stone...there are none among us who are without some shortcoming, Thank God for that!  I will miss wonderful shared musical talent, and hope all will be able to visit this site to send comfort, smiles, and strength to the Turner family.  That is all that this time is about, not mud-slinging, not things that we all should know are just a drop in the ocean of life!  My thoughts and remembrances to the Turner Family!  Loved ones are never gone, though we never stop wanting to have one more look, one more touch, one more day.
WOO FARMER REQUIM-IKE TURNER-TAKIN BACK MY NAME December 13, 2007

Despite the poison and hateration, Ike was a wonderful man and we all lost a great

talent. If it hadn't been for him, there wouldn't been a star from Nutbush, Tennessee named Anna Mae Bullock AKA Tina Turner. And I'm sorry about the

clerical error in my first condolence, there would'nt been any hits known as Rocket 88, A Fool In Love, I'm Blue, Proud Mary, What's Love Got To Do With It and Steamy Windows. YEAH! I LIKE IKE.

Sam My thoughts are with you December 13, 2007
May Ike rest in peace.  Ike Turner had well publicized demons, but it would be a shame if that was the primary thing he is remembered for.  The obituaries all talk about how Ike was revolutionary - the first rock record, talent scout, producer, writer, and let us not forget killer guitar player, and I agree with all of that as history will.  But, on a personal note, Ike and his music has always had the power to make me happy.  If I had to keep 10 CDs on an island, I might just make them all Ike & Tina.  His legacy won't just be that he made great music - it will be how that music makes people FEEL.  God bless Ike and my sympathies to his family and loved ones.

As long as people listen to the Blues they will know Ike Turner. He's not gone, just takin' a break.
