It was a pleasure and a honor to have met Ike. I thank him and Mia for allowing me to see this genius at work. Ike, you were definately loved and will be missed.

I would like to say how sorry my family and myself was to hear of Ike's passing.  I am sure that his music will live on for years and generations to come.  May the lord walk with your family in this time of pain an sorrow.

What can I say about Ike Turner, A history make!

The media never showed the real side of the true man Ike turner Turner and all of the controbutions he made to music and man and woman kind, this sad for me that this story may never be told.

The real deal is Ike turner wrote the very first rock & roll record. Rockin '88' then came rock&roll. 'lol' He change the direction of music not only in america but, the world.

No Ike, There would be no Tina Turner. It was Ike that develop that sound. Ike Build the Sound of Sun Records, The Home Of Elvis 'The So Call King Of Rock&Roll' lol'.

A Idol of many great Guitarist, A great Keyboard player, A great Song Writer* Not Perfect but, a Man that change the world and open many doors for People of all races.

Ike you rest in peace, your work on this earth was well done. Sleep my brotha for only God can judge, He knows your heart and I have no dout There a big party plan in heaven for your arrival, James, Jimi, Lou, Luther, even Elvis all will be waiting to welcome you home.

I did not know Ike Turner.  I did not have the opportunity to work with Ike Turner.  But I do know this, like many of the African American musicial geniuses before him, he effectively pioneered the R&B, Blues, Pop genre.  He changed the way we view and listen to music today.  His collaborative efforts with various talents and Tina Turner knocked down the music doors so ALL could and would listen.  To the family of the late Ike Turner---remember that God will wipe away all tears---weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning.  May God bless you during and after your time of beareavement.

Mr. Turner was giant.  I am not sure what else needs to be said.  He helped make Sun records great, both as a musician and talent scout; waxed incredible recordings on Cobra; and influenced a generation of guitarists. 

 

 

 

 

Honestly but sadly true......

I knew very little about the man, Ike Turner.  Unfortunately, all that i have now to rely on are his music, book and memory.  The things I did learn about his life as a person showed me just that....he was a person.  One of substance, one who makes mistakes and one who if you took a chance to get to know, loved life and those around him.  I don't sing a praise for him or to him as he is just one of Gods' children, however, i do send blessings from my family to yours that knowing him has given you comfort.  I ask that God please give this family, even those who are distant (Tina) peace.

you will be sadly missed but always, ALWAYS remembered and appreciated!!!
