The first time I heard Ike's band play, the "blues" slipped into my heart and has remained these many years. I thank you.
I got to do 6 shows with ike as a Promoter here in LA. He was cool to me and really loved the stories. He was funny and laid back. The best show was the Doheny Blues Fest were he kicked ass and the fans went crazy! I will remember Ike forever

I had the honor of meeting Ike in Belgrade, Serbia, back in November 1974. As a leader of Kings Of Rhytham show, including Tina and Ikettes, he made a unforgetible night. Met him at after show party at Hotel Jugoslavia. He was very kind and it was privilege to hear interesting stories directly from Ike.
